Calling all Volunteers…

Apollo Junior High needs you!  We have a lot going on and need parents to lend a hand. Please email Cindy Carter, PTA President for more details!

Many programs at Apollo would not exist without the help of our enthusiastic volunteers. Everyone has a talent, and we have a job for everyone. 

 School Volunteer positions include: 

Apollo’s Band, Orchestra and Choir need chaperones as well as other activities. 

The Computer/Writing Lab:  Supervise students using computers.  No experience is necessary. 

ESL Tutoring:  Listen to ESL students read from 3:25 pm-4:15 pm.  No experience necessary. 

General Tutoring:  assist students in general instructional areas. 

Health Services:  help in the school clinic.  Training is provided at the beginning of the school year.  Clinic will be staffed as needed. 

Office:  assist in the office in the morning (8:30am-9:00AM) or as a need arises.  

PTA Volunteer positions include:

 Hospitality:  assist in providing food or other hospitality throughout the year at PTA and school-sponsored functions. 

Reflections Program:  assist with the assembling, judging, and displaying of entries. 

Social:   help chaperone or provide refreshments at PTA or school sponsored activities, including dances. 

Supply Store (Panther Depot):  sell supplies in the PTA supply store weekdays 8:00-8:30 am or during lunch 11:15-12:45pm.            

Used Book Fair:  assist with sorting books in January and February. 

Vision/Hearing Screenings:  assist the school nurse. 

**IMPORTANT** District policy requires a background check be performed on all volunteers.  Forms are available in the school office.
