Texas PTA Environmental Awareness Contest

We are excited to announce the 2007-2008 Theme:

"What Can I Do? "

The Texas PTA, in partnership with the Don't Mess With Texas Organization, wishes to extend an invitation to all students from PTA schools in grades Pre-K through 12. We hope that students will develop high-level thinking skills in relation to environmental education as they attempt to formulate ideas.

The contest is easy:
1. Download the Student Entry Form (PDF)

2. Students will think of an idea involving the contest theme and write a newspaper article (Opinion Editorial or Reported Information), design a newsletter (pictures optional), draw media art or design a print advertisement,
photograph, or produce a 30 second public service announcement in audio (6th-12th) or video format (9th-12th).

3. Students can enter in multiple categories, but must fill out a separate entry form for each.

4. Texas PTA partners could use winning entries at the State level for promotional purposes.

Please turn in all entries to PTA President no later than February 1, 2008.
