IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM SCHOOL ATTENDANCE OFFICE (posted January 2007)

With the flu season approaching, here is a reminder about student absences:

• A note is required by the state for ANY absence from school stating the reason for the absence; the student's name and date of the absence. A parent's signature is also required on this note.
• Any student leaving school must be signed out by a parent, through the main office. If the person checking the student out is NOT on the emergency card list, we CANNOT release the student to him or her.
• If the student is checked out by someone other than the parent/guardian (even if they are listed on the emergency card) a note is required stating you were aware of this absence.
